Indonesian Investments

With a surface of more than 1.9 M of square Km, Indonesia is composed by 17.508 islands being Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, New Guinea and Celebes the main ones.

Indonesia is the biggest Palm Oil Producer, with an extension of 11.9 M hectares dedicated to Palm plantations being more than 70% located on Sumatra. This production generates more than 22M Tn of EFB (Empty Fruit Bunches) a year being the main part of them thrown away.

EFB heat recovery Plants, which produce electricity burning the EFB are target projects of our Fund, which is currently studying several plant investments in the island of Sumatra.

The Fund has also shown its interest to invest in a 2 cascade HPP project in the south of Sumatra.
