About Asia Capital Energy Fund

Asia Capital Energy Fund (ACE Fund or ACEF) is a new private equity fund that will invest in a portfolio of renewable energy projects such as small hydropower plants, solar, wind and biomass in South East and Central Asia. The initial focus of ACE Fund is in small hydropower plants.

The initial fund raising target is $20 million, to invest in four projects with an equity investment of $4-7 million each. Total asset value of the target projects is approximately $40 million including debt and equity. ACE Fund is targeting a 50% overall equity share.

Asia Capital Energy Fund is designed to offer investors a significant diversification opportunity investing in a portfolio of renewable energy projects providing stable returns.

ACE Fund investment strategy consists in identifying brownfield projects with a 3 to 5 years track record to build a core portfolio of renewable energy projects such as small hydropower plants, solar, wind and biomass.

By increasing domestic power supply, ACE Fund investments contribute to build economic and social development in the countries where the projects are based reducing their dependence on fossil fuel imports. Because of its environmental and social impact on the local communities, this projects are also supported by the authorities.

ACE Fund will focus its investments in South East and Central Asia, with an initial focus in small hydropower plants.
